waste management

its very much disheartening to see the rubbish /wastes littered all over our surroundings. invariably all the human habitations in rural, urban or metro is littered with filth all around. people talk much on waste management but not at all being practised. everyone wants to keep their house clean by throwing out their household waste anywhere outside their house. First of all a serious campaign is necessary to use the waste box by every individual. It should start from the school. The youngsters below the age group of below 25 years should be targeted first. a serious campaign is very imminent and every youngster should be made to realise the waste management of their household. Local administration should have an effective waste management team. even now one can see the towns like Karaikudi the streets are being sweeped by the local administration staff. A small step of a systematic effort of the govt. machinery can do wonders in this area. Waste is wealth. Processed waste can generate not only money but also power. small teams of NGOs from each town/village/city should be deputed to study waste management methods and their effective implementation. any amount of money spent on development of infrastructure for waste management will repay such investment within a very short spell. Every corporate should be allotted some area of their choice to be maintained litter free. Every School, colleges , Govt. establishments, corporates be held responsible for keeping their surrounding litter free. Necessary infrastructure should be developed under suitable govt. schemes to handle the wastes of each specified area. In our country resources are plenty for giving freebees to general public . a small portion of it is sufficient for successful waste management. Awareness should be created in every citizen which will automatically bring out the solution.
